I am Terri Jones, the IRON JESTER, simple as 3.14159265.

How did someone as drug-addled and depraved as Hunter Thompson come up with such a spiritual phrase as “Call on God, but row away from the rocks?” It sounds like something a preacher might write on a Friday night preparing for his weekend sermon.  I believe God speaks through anyone, whether they are speaking from the pulpit or drowning in an ether binge.

I am a wife, mother, and a Christian. I am also a teacher and a writer. I was born in the Midwest but have southern roots, so that thing you drink out of is both a water fountain AND a bubbler. I believe the best cure for depression is creativity. The cure for creativity is organization. And the cure for organization is play.

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.’ ” –Erma Bombeck

  1. This site is amazing. As a fellow piscean, I can say that nothing is more moving than aesthetics and you’ve created something beautiful here. The poetry of both sight and thought weave through your blog in surprising and inspiring ways. Keep up the great work and count on me as a new fan.

  2. To date, I have not learned to craft prose as beautifully as you, so my comment will probably sound plain. But I just want to tell you your words touched me. Thank you.

  3. If it isn’t Terri from Temecula. I remember you. Are you still writing missives on the DMZ boards?

(What an amazing feeling getting a reply back from Ray Bradbury, by the way. Wow!)
